Rex Type Begonias

One of the most stunning Begonias around. A large swirled leaf of olive green and silver. The leaves are up to 30cm long on red hairy stems. Quite large.

Spiral bright green leaves mark this out as a very unusual foliage plant. The spiral is highlighted by a red band.

A maple leaf with a central spiral swirl, silver with a purple red central blush radiating along the veins. A picotee dark edge. Colours vary with age making an interesting and delightful plant.

One of the best Begonia Rex hybrids. A low/medium sized plant with stunning markings. AGM.

A medium sized begonia with a tidy habit. The leaves have a maximum size of approximately 15cms in length.

Red with dark red and silver patches. The leaf is twisted into attractive swirls. The young leaves start silver and darken with age. Adult leaf about 25cm (10 inches) in size. AGM.

A medium sized rex with spiral leaves, very attractive satin red with black centre and margins. Very choice plant.

One of the most compact rex types making an excellent shape. The leaves are small, heart shaped, with contrasting matt black centre and edge with a wide band of blood red between.

Rocheart is a beautiful mottled and spotted spiral leaved Begonia. The leaves swirl around starting deep plum purple in the centre blending to pink, silver and green at the edge. A tight compact plant.

This variety is a new Begonia rex bred at our nursery and which we think is quite outstanding. Sal's Comet is purple at the centre then becoming deep pink with sliver background. The edge is again a deep plum with lighter red dots. Deeply serrated leaves.

The silver leaves of this plant shimmer in light. The dark edging produce a filagree pattern hence the variety name. The dark red underneath shows through in the leaf veins. Overall a stunning compact plant.

Roughly ridged leaves with incredible 2cm+ hairs covering the surface of the leaves and stems. The young leaves are extremely hairy and tactile. Medium sized leaves.

A medium sized red leaf. As its name suggests the foliage is black with a bright dark red interveinal marking. A remarkable variety.
