Visit
our nursery and gardens,
all situated in beautiful Specimen plants being grown for show always provide a good spectacle and a full range of flowering plants is available for sale in our sales house, including small numbers of plants not listed in this catalogue. We also have a large range of sundries to help you get the maximum out of your houseplants. Our purpose built sales area is now fully open. Toilets, including disabled, are available. March: Weekdays 10am to 5pm How to find us To find us take the A525 (Ruthin-Wrexham road) to the cross-roads at Llysfasi Agricultural College (4 miles from Ruthin, 14 miles from Wrexham). From here, you can follow brown signs pointing to 'Meithrinfa Dibleys Nurseries'. Turn along the B5429 towards Llanelidan. After 1.5 miles turn left at the hamlet of Rhydymeudwy and continue up the lane for one mile, and the nursery is on the left just over the brow of the hill (look at map). Gardens
Our nursery is set within a 10 acre aboretum garden which is open to the public.
Opening times are the same as for the nursery.
Adults: £3, children 50p.
The
paths are of grass and strong footwear is advisable!
The garden is planted with many unusual specimen trees and shrubs. There are large numbers of Rhododendron, Sorbus, Hollys, Acers and Buddlejas. Chemicals are not used in the garden which has led to a great diverse range of wildlife with an exceptionally strong bird population. Birds which are seen and heard regularly around the garden include Buzzards, Woodpeckers, Nuthatches, Wrens and Ravens.
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday 2,3 and 4 May 2009, the garden will be open under the National Garden S
cheme when all the takings will go to the charity.
Garden Railway
On some Sundays (11am to 4pm), weather and other commitments permitting, our miniature railway will be running through our woods and gardens. If this is of particular interest to you, check by phone (01978 790677) before coming to ensure the railway is running.
