Gardens Our nursery is set within a 10 acre aboretum garden which is open to the public. Opening times are the same as for the nursery. Adults: £3, children 50p.
The garden is planted with many unusual specimen trees and shrubs. There are large numbers of Rhododendron, Sorbus, Hollys, Acers and Buddlejas. Chemicals are not used in the garden which has led to a great diverse range of wildlife with an exceptionally strong bird population. Birds which are seen and heard regularly around the garden include Buzzards, Woodpeckers, Nuthatches, Wrens and Ravens. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday 2,3 and 4 May 2009, the garden will be open under the National Garden S Garden Railway On some Sundays (11am to 4pm), weather and other commitments permitting, our miniature railway will be running through our woods and gardens. If this is of particular interest to you, check by phone (01978 790677) before coming to ensure the railway is running.
